Autumn Equinox + Astrological New Year Women's Circle - Friday 20 March
THE WHEEL OF THE YEAR CIRCLES
Autumn Equinox Circle: Coming Into Balance
Friday 20 March | 6:00pm – 7:30pm AEST | Online | $33
If you can’t make it at the time - the replay will be sent to you after!
There is a moment, right at the Autumn Equinox, where day and night sit in perfect balance. The light softens, the mornings carry a different quality, and something in the natural world exhales. It is one of the most quietly significant thresholds in the seasonal calendar, and most of us move straight through it without ever stopping to notice.
The Autumn Equinox also marks the beginning of the Astrological New Year as the Sun enters Aries, making this a double threshold. A moment where two cycles turn at once, and where the invitation to pause, reflect and consciously step into the next season is genuinely there if you choose to take it.
For most of human history, women did take it. They gathered at every seasonal turning point, they marked the transitions with ritual and reflection, and they moved through the year in rhythm with the natural world rather than in spite of it. That practice wasn't incidental to women's wellbeing, it was central to it. And while modern life has given us a lot, that particular thread of continuity is one most of us quietly know we've lost, even if we've never had the words for it.
This circle is an invitation to pick it back up.
So what actually happens in a women's circle?
Nothing performative, nothing that requires you to have your life together, and nothing that will make you feel like you accidentally stumbled into someone else's spiritual awakening. What you will find is 90 minutes of genuine space, the kind that's actually hard to come by when you're someone who gives a lot of themselves in daily life. You'll do all of this in circle with other women who are choosing, consciously, to live a little more in rhythm with the seasons.
In this circle, you will:
Learn about the seasonal and elemental energetics of Autumn and why this particular threshold matters for your energy, habits and health going into the cooler months
Explore what it actually looks like to step into the Astrological New Year with intention rather than just momentum, and where in your own life you're ready to find more balance
Reflect on where you are in the seasonal cycle and what you're being invited to release or welcome in
Be guided through meditation and journaling to help you integrate the themes of the season
Participate in a simple incense and candle ritual to honour the turning of the wheel
Learn how to build a personal altar using the four elements to support and ground you through the season of Autumn
Connect with a community of women who are learning to live in rhythm with nature
This is for you ifyou've been feeling the pull toward a slower, more intentional pace and you're ready to actually honour it. If you're curious about seasonal living and ancestral practices but haven't known where to begin. If you want somewhere to land and breathe with other women for 90 minutes, without needing to perform or have it together. Or if you've simply been circling around this kind of thing for a while and this feels like the right moment to step in.
You don't need any prior experience with ritual, meditation or circles. You just need to show up.
About the Wheel of the Year
This Autumn Equinox circle is the first in a series of seasonal gatherings held throughout the year at each significant turning point, the Winter Solstice, the Spring Equinox, Samhain and beyond. Women are welcome to return at each season, building a deeper relationship with the natural rhythms and with each other over time. This is the kind of consistent, nourishing community that women used to have as a baseline, and that so many of us are genuinely ready to return to.
We're bringing it back, one season at a time.
All the details:
+ Friday 20 March ~ 6pm - 7.30pm AEST (QLD time)
+ Online (via Zoom)
+ $33 per person
Feel free to email hello@maiamothers.com.au with any questions about the circle or DM us on instagram x
